Dreamweaver/Woodware UK Saturday Hop

Welcome back to the annual Dreamweaver and Woodware Christmas in August Extravaganza week! Today we will be again knocking your Christmas Stockings off with fun and inspirational ideas for the upcoming holidays.  All that you need to do is hop back and forth across "the pond" today, continuing to ooh and aaahh as you go...leaving us plenty of holiday love.  In return, you will be entered to randomly win one prize package for a UK commenter and a second prize package for a US commenter, featuring products distributed in the UK by Woodwar...including Dreamweavers and Stampendous!

Prizes include four stencils, one die and two stamps.  (Selections my vary)

Here's what I've created for you today:

Here's a little house mouse for you from Stampendous.  I colored him with Copic Markers, then cut out around the top of it.  On the background, I used the Holiday Flourish stencil from Dreamweavers.  I dry embossed it through my Cuttlebug machine and while leaving the stencil over the paper, sponged with the Pine Needles Distress Ink.  I then added some of the Copper Pearls to the berries.  I let them dry.  Then I popped up the candy can totting mouse up to give it some dimension, added some Crystal Art Institute glitter on the snow and some white Fun Flock on the fluffy, furry borders of his coat.  I embossed the Season's Greetings with the Black Matte Paste and cut it into a tag.  Then mat it with red paper and pop it up onto the card.  I hope you enjoyed this week, seeing all the fun Christmas creations.  But you aren't done yet, there are still a few more to see!!!

Dreamweaver/Stampendous Grand Finale

 Today is the Final Day and the Grand Finale of the Collaboration with Stampendous Rubber Stamps and Dreamweaver Stencils!  All the Design Team members form both groups will be featuring a slew of amazing projects and of course...prizes!!

 Here is what I created:

I used the Queen Bee Perfectly Clear stamp set from Stampendous.  I cut out the image with the large scallop Circle Die from Spellbinders.  While the die was still on the paper, I sponged the inside with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  Then I used the Dreamweaver Thank You Stencil and embossed it with the Black Matte Embossing Paste.   I stamped and colored the bee.  Then I cut out the bee and popped it up onto the card.  All stamped images are colored with Copic Markers.

Stampendous/Dreamweaver Collaboration

It's fun in the sun time again with another collaboration between Stampendous and Dreamweaver Stencils!  We'll be playing together all of this week, with a fabulous hop on Friday, August 2nd, featuring a slew of amazing talent from both teams and of course...prizes!!

Here's what I created:

Today, I am using the Encrusted Jewel Bronze set from Stampendous in both cards.  The first card, I stamped the VersaMark pad directly onto the cream card stock.  Then I sprinkled the different powders onto the inked surface.  Heat the background to melt the powders, then stamp the swirls onto the background and sprinkle with Vintage Mahogany Embossing Tinsel and heat again.  The Buck was pasted with the Black Matte Embossing Paste.  Before I removed the stencil, I sprinkle the body with the Embossing Tinsel.  I then removed the stencil and allowed the paste to dry for about 10 - 15 minutes.  Then use the heat tool to emboss the powder.  Mat the Buck onto brown card stock.  Use the X-acto knife to cut a slit above the swirl and tuck the deer into the opening.  For the second card, I stamped the Nautical Rope frame and embossed it with the Vintage Mahogany Embossing Tinsel.  I cut out the opening with an X-acto knife.  Next, I used the Dreamweaver sand castle with the Black Matte Embossing Paste.  This time I removed the stencil, then sprinkled the wet paste with the Golden Sand Embossing Powder.  I allowed the paste to dry for about 10 minutes, then heated it with the Heat tool.  The paste will puff slightly.  Then I adhered the frame over the sand castle and finished the card.

Microfine Glitter - WOW!

I am having fun with the new Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft. Using the Be Creative tape on the background. Once the liner tape is removed, you can use the liner to cut or punch shapes to mask images. On the sample below, I punched out snowflakes and put the masks back on the tape. Because the liner is the mask, they can easily be removed. Then you sprinkle on the Liberty Blue Microfine glitter onto the exposed tape. Rub glitter firmly into the tape and shake off the excess. Now remove the snowflake masks...It works best with a fine pointed tweezers. Then sprinkle with the Cool transparent glitter and again rub glitter firmly and shake off the excess. This technique is called brushed velvet. It is smooth and the glitter won't rub off onto you hands later!!! On the butterfly card, I used a square of the Be Creative tape on white cardstock. Then after I removed the liner sheet, I place a Class A'peel butterfly sticker onto the tape. Use the removed liner to press the sticker onto the tape. Then I used the transparent glitter on the tape and rubbed the glitter firmly into the exposed tape. Now the whole square is covered with glitter. Then you can use your Tombow markers directly onto the glittered surface and spread the color with a water brush. I love this look!

This is just one more sample that I did using the NEW spider web border punch as a mask. Then using the Java and the Grasshopper Microfine glitters to fill in the tape sheet. There will be a class offered at The Stamp Shoppe on September 7th for anyone that would be interested in seeing more with these techniques.

Here is another Changito stamp from Stampendous. These are real rubber with the cling mount backing for your acrylic blocks. This would be cute for a 16th birthday for the new driver or any milestone birthday. I stamped part of the sentiment on the front of the card "If you're over the hill," the inside says "why not enjoy the view?" The fiskar scallop border punch adds a bit of color and the Scor Bug was used to do the faux stitching on the green layer. The Sizzix swirl looked like exhaust, so I added that behind the car. The Copics were used to color the image. Thanks for checking out the blog!

A Warm Hello!

I love these little ladies from Stampavie! They remind me of Holly Hobbie, excepting I get to color them any way I wish!!!! This one is all dressed up in Copics and the flower centers and scissors are glitzed up a bit with At You Spica Glitter Pens.

I have her layered over some nestabilities ovals....the embossing is subtle and oh so nifty!
Ribbon is by May Arts, the Fiskars Threading Water punch is perfect for a touch of white *lace.*
Designer paper is by Cosmo Cricket. A Warm Hello is by Hero Arts.

The flower is from the Ruffled Bloom set by Stampendous! I used the vellum embossing technique and my copics to dress it up a bit. Hope she makes you smile! ~michelle~

Hoppy Easter!

Check out Fluffles in her slippers! These adorable stamps are by Stampendous! Colored with Copics and are highlighted with Inkssential's White pen. Cloud9 Design designer paper has been run through the Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder and then lightly sanded. It is Faux Stitched onto the pink cardstock. A chipboard flourish has been glittered and tucked behind the scalloped punched frame.

Tip: Little snips of ribbon can pull out color from your designer paper coordinating your card design. ~michelle~

Check out these cute little friends...I believe they are from Stampendous. Colored with Copics and accented with the white gel pen. Glitter flowers are from Heidi Grace. ~michelle~

Top O' The Mornin' To Ya!

SPRING!

Check out this adorable Stampendous! image! I'm not sure if the ice will ever melt and spring will come.....but this sunny little card will make anyone's day brighter. The image is colored with Copics and highlighted with the white gel pen. Heidi Grace glittered flowers are a fun springy embellishement! Nestibilities are used for the sentiment.

TIP: For a fun and different look, take it off the side of the card! This gives you a fun shape and draws your eye towards the opening edge of the card. ~michelle~

Happy Heart Day!

This card also features Hero Art's Whoo Loves You set. I stamped the bird and the branch with brown chalk ink. I colored the bird with a Dove Blender Pen and dye ink.
