Pop Out Cards

I'm having so much fun with these Karen Burniston dies.  I will be having a class tomorrow at The Stamp Shoppe using the Twist Panel Pop Up Die and the Twist Snowman Circle Die Set.
This first card uses the Prickley Pear Build a Cupcake stamp set with matching die colored with Copic markers.
Frames and Rounded panel are also included in the die set.
The second card front uses the Prickley Pear Christmas Banner stamp set and matching die. Keeping the front simple because most of the work is found on the inside.
Watch the little Penguin twist and pop up as you open the card.  The Roly Poly Penguin is from Taylored Expressions.  This cutie fits perfectly with the circle die included in the stamp set.  The frame is from the KB Riley Katherine Label Pop Up die. The sentiment is also from Prickley Pear. The snowy border is from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges Die Set.  If you are interested in taking a class, call us at 715-355-6735. If you just want to make some of these cards, you can find them all at The Stamp Shoppe!

CardMakers Blog Hop

Thanks for joining us today for the CardMaker Blog Hop.  If you have been following the hop, you should have come from Rebecca's blog.  We are continuing to showcase some of the new images from Prickley Pear, so we hope you enjoy being inspired!!
One of my favorite new image are these Bold Daisies. I had some small ladybugs that I stamped and die cut using the Dainty Dragonflies and matching die sets.  They added a touch of whimsy to these adorable flowers.  Then I used the saying from and older Butterflies clear stamp set.
Summer is in full bloom with this Large Birdhouse.  I cut off the small post and fussy cut around the bird, to have the bird perched on a hanging birdhouse! I used a Taylored Expressions branch embossing folder and colored the embossed image with Copic Markers.  Then I stamped the small flowers from the Flowers 2 Clear Set and cut them out with the matching die.   I love these small flowers because they add so much to a card.
Here I add more of the flowers to this cute Kitty card.  This little kitten is so adorable!  It will brighten anyone's day!  Then I added the sentiment from the Dragonflies 2 Clear Set.  I hope you are enjoying all the great new images from Prickley Pear and all the beautiful creations.  Your next stop on your hop is Irit's blog. She uses some of these same images in more of an artistic, shabby chic way!  You will love her inspiring works of art.  When you are done hopping, be sure to leave a comment on the Prickley Pear blog for your chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate.  Prickley Pear will be picking a random winner from all that leave a comment!  Until next time...and Good Luck!

Signs of Spring

Tulips and young chick are signs of spring!  Today I am using Easter Flowers and the Pond of Duckling stamps from Prickley Pear.

I add some banners I made with the Love Banner Set and matching Banner Dies to add some accent to this Easter Card.  Around the image, I used the removable tape around the edges and sponged with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  The Embossing folder is Loopy Loops from Taylored Expressions.

This last card used some plaid paper from Bo Bunny as the background paper,  I used the ScorBuddy and the ScorBug to create the fake stitches around the edge.  The Easter Flowers were stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  I added a tab and mini butterfly that I die cut from the  Kensington Branch die from Memory Box.

Hope you enjoyed a little Spring today and I wish you all a very Happy Easter!

Riley Tuesday

I hope you enjoyed the new release of Riley and Company stamps last week, but we still have lots more to show you!  The Riley stamps are fun to use with the Funny Bone sayings.  Because Riley is always the perfect size...not too big and not too small, he's fun to use on cards that have some moving parts to them!!
For this wedding card, I used the Sizzix frame to create an arch to the card and put the Riley couple on the inside. The background uses the Taylored Expressions brick embossing folder on cream paper and the flowers and leaves are dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. Then I added the sentiment on top.  However, it was a little too big...no problem!! Stamp part for the front and add the rest on the inside!!
This second card uses the Scuba Riley.  My oldest son got his Diving Certification and I thought this would be a fun card for him.  I used the Slide On Over die from Lawn Fawn and after I cut out Riley, I put him on a slider tab.  I made a frame and embossed it with the Weathered embossing folder from Taylor Expressions and put acetate behind it to make a window.  At the top I used a water die to show water.  Then on the inside and outside the frame I used the Tree 2 die from Prickley Pear to make coral.  Finally, I added the sentiment across the top.  This scuba guy will pull up behind the sentiment the appear as the tab is pushed down.  Hope you enjoyed the cards and be sure to check out the Riley blog for more card ideas from the talented Design Team today!!

Desk Calendars

Using the Mushroom Lane Stamps from Riley and Company, I created these Desk Calendars.  I thought they would be great for teacher gifts, or gift for someone when you would like to get them "a little something".  I used the Sizzix Stand-Ups dies to create the calendar stand.  Then I added papers and die elements to create the scene. After decorating the stand, I popped up the Mushroom House as the main image, then added the calendar to the base.
Here, I added along with the cut out mushroom house, a cute little fox from Taylored Expressions.  Then for some extra dimension, I add some small dragonflies from Impression Obession.
Finally, I used the same image to make a matching card to go with the little gift.
You can find more of these adorable Mushroom houses at Riley and Company.  They are fun to color with Copic Markers and have a cute, whimsical feel to these projects.  All products can be found at The Stamp Shoppe, in Weston, Wisconsin.  Come in and see us soon!

Scratch Off Cards

Here are two fun cards using the Scratch-Offs stickers and stamps from Inky Antics.  In the Birthday Lotto card, I also added a Party Grumpling from Taylored Expressions and some party balloons to the card.  The secret scratch off messages include: Wrinkles, Memory Loss, Dentures, Hearing Aids, etc. as the "prizes", so I thought the Grumpling would be the perfect add-on for this card.  The second card is another clear set from Inky Antics. These sets have a question and an answer stamp.  Then you can cover the answer and the recipient can scratch the sticker to reveal the message...very fun!  Next week Thursday, we are having a class at The Stamp Shoppe to make these cards.  Come in and join the fun!
