Over the Hill

We are celebrating a 40th Birthday party tonight for my husband and a friend of ours. This old man stamp is from Art Impressions. There are so many humorous people from this stamp company. Many are on the way to The Stamp Shoppe and all are on Cling mounts!! I colored him with Copic markers and using an old sizzix paper clip die, put "40" on the tab with rub ons. Notice the new Herringbone cuttlebug folder?? This fit well with the aged feel that I wanted. I'll keep you posted on the party!!

Bee-happy!

This little bee is new from whippersnapper. What a cutie! I colored him with Copic Markers. Using a card I had made before as a sketch, I used it for to inspire this card. Adding a few Prima flowers and a sentiment on a Nestabilities label. I completed the card. Hope you are having a happy day!

Copic Classes

Kathy Sanders is coming to The Stamp Shoppe to teach 2 Copic classes, August 28th and 29th. She has been using and teaching Copic marker techniques before Copics were even being so widely used in the stamping world. The girl on the right is one of the cards that will be taught in the friday night class. This is a beyond the basics Copic class where there will be advanced coloring techniques with shadowing, shading and highlighting. She will also be introducing colored pencils with the copics on stamped images for added depth, in this class. The bear with the balloons will be taught in the Saturday morning class. That is the Colored pencils with Copics. The techniques that will be taught are pencils adding texture to the bear to make him furry and making images appear transluscent. There is limited space and only a few spaces still available. If anyone is interested, please call or email immediately. These are two classes you don't want to miss!

It's your day!

Oops! I missed another birthday. My mother-in-law's birthday was friday and I didn't get a card out on time...the story of my life. Anyway, I decided to use these old paper clip dies from sizzix and make my card around it! These dies are old, but new to me. I thought the circle topper was perfect for my birthday sentiment. This "stuffed" bear is from Whippersnapper and with the large white space in the corner, it was perfect for my paper clip. Using a glitter star from Dress It Up, it added an embellishment in the center to add some pizzazz. Coloring with Copics (of course!) and white gel pen to add highlights. Now to get it in the mailbox, so I'm not any later :)

A Swingin' Good Time

Another High Hopes Cutie! Using the frame from the circle I cut out for another card, Michelle "hung" the rope this girl to swing on. The Copic markers were used to color her and the white gel pen added some highlights. Just add a little ribbon and a few flowers and that's all you need for this card. Stop by again soon!

Cutie from High Hopes

These kids are sure cute from High Hopes. After coloring the girl, I colored the ground around her feet with gray, to give here something to stamd on. I used some Spica markers in the water that is in the bucket. I used the swirl die from Sizzix again. They are versatile! Make a border with the Fiskars scallop border punch and add some glitter dots. Hope this made you smile :)

Paint my World Beautiful

Here's another sample of airbrushing. This time I used a Sarah Kay image from Stampavie. I masked the girl and easel, then cut out the canvas. Then I airbrushed multiple colors on the background and canvas. Then I colored the girl with Copic markers. The Prima flower was plain white and I airbrushed it with colors to match my card. Adding a few swirls from a sizzix die and a few more flowers, my card is finished. If you like these airbrushed cards, check out classes that are coming up in the fall.

When you're Hot, You're Hot!

This HOT fireman is from Whippersnapper. The image was colored again with Copic markers. The smoke was airbrushed with the Copic airbrushing system and a template. The fire die cut was made from my swirl sizzix die and airbrushed with a lipstick red copic marker. Notice I use some more metal embellishments from Memory Makers for this card, using the red ribbon to hold the washer on. This fireman can be a cute birthday card, an anniversary card for your sweetie or just a note of encouragement, like this sentiment suggest. Thanks for looking!
