Lily Wreath

Today, I am using the new Heartfelt Creations Botanical Oval stamp.  These lilies match the previous lilies from the Floral Cross Collection.  You can easily create 3-D lilies to add to this wreath, or make additional lilies to make the wreath more full!  After I had cut down the paper with the image on it, I felt that there was still too much white space.  So I added some corner pieces and I loved the effect.  The lilies were colored to match the decorator paper.  I used the decorative corner die across the top of the image and it looks a bit like a hanger.  Of course the berries needed some pearls, so I used the cream Viva Decor pearl pen to add that necessary embellishment!  Check out the HC blog for more stunning ideas that are sure to inspire you!

Black Eyed Susans

I love these Black Eyed Susans.  They can be colored with different colors to create a totally different looking flower.  On this card I used some scraps that were in my friend's stash.  She had some strips of this and circles cut out of that.  I happened to lay the piece down with the strip next to my colored flowers and then the circle over all...and I liked it, so that is what I did.  After it was all together, I decided that it could use some embossing, so I ran the whole front piece through my Cuttlebug maching.  This embossing folder was a frame from Darice.  Then I used the label die cut from Cheery Lynn to embellish the the sentiment, added some Candi and pearls...and my card was complete. If you love these flowers like I do, we have them at the store or you can buy them directly from Prickley Pear.  Check out other ideas on the PPRS blog!!

A Bucket of Wishes

Today I am once again using the Antique Essentials.  This time I am using the other elements...the old rusty pail and wildflowers.  On this one I stamped the bucket onto white cardstock.  Then I mad a mask of the bucket that I cut out from thin printer paper.  Lay the mask over the stamped bucket, then stamp the wildflowers in the bucket and stamp them again partly to the side of the bucket.  Once you remove the mask, the flowers will appear to be inside and behind the bucket.  Then I stamped the smaller wildflower cluster over the bucket.  Now color the scene that you created!!  Finally adhere the image over matching decorator paper.  The paper adds continuity to the card.  Don't forget some lacy embellishments you can make with the Decorative corner dies that are exclusive to Heartfelt Creations.  Finish the card with a cheery sentiment!  The Design Team has been hard at work creating for you again this week, so be sure to check it out on the HC blog!

To Carry my Love

Here is a card that would be good for any "I love you" occasion.  On this card I used the Valentine Balloon from Prickley Pear and colored it with Copic Markers.  I put it behind the window die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The Decorator paper is from Memory Box.  I added some butterflies embellishments made with the Mini Butterflies Die and Clear Stamp Set from Prickley Pear, Candi and the leaves are also a die from Cheery Lynn.  Be sure to check out the Prickley Pear blog for more creative ideas.

Prickley Pear Bird Stamp

I just wanted to showcase the Build a Bird Clear Set from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. First you cut out the bird and the wings.  Then you stamp onto the cut out bird.  Both samples are using the Distress Inks to color the bird.  The first card is put on the cuttlebug embossed background, then cut out some of the diamonds to show some color through to the front.  On second card, I used the Tim Holtz Diffusers with the the embossing folder to leave an unembossed surface to stamp my sentiment. Add the branch accent with some Candi to dress up the card.
