Stacked Trees

I hope you have enjoyed our New Release week of Prickley Pear.  Today I am featuring the Three Piece  Trees.  There are three tree designs in the set.  These can be colored in different shades of green and blue, depending on your mood!  Pair these with the Christmas Banner Set to add some extra embellishments.  This Banner set also has great sentiments for all your Christmas cards! Both clear sets come with matching dies!
What about a Blue Spruce for a Blue Christmas?  It's fun to make a Non-traditional card sometimes too! Add a bow on the tree and presents under the tree...Oh what fun to mix and match!!
See more fantastic Christmas ideas on the PPRS blog today!  Don't forget you can still get free shipping if you order online.  Stamp will be in the store this weekend!

Bird Bath

Here's another card using stamps from the new Spring Release from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  I am using the Pond of Ducklings stamp that I colored with Copic Markers.  I used some fun bright paper from Bo Bunny as a background.  Then I stamped the Happy Spring sentiment onto a banner and added some Candi for a simple embellishment.  We hope you enjoyed the hop...I know that I sure did!  Check out today's cards too.  Enjoy!

Winter's Scenery

Saturday we had Make and Takes featuring Prickley Pear Christmas stamps.  Here is one of the cards we made with the Reindeer Kisses stamp.  I colored the deer with Copic Markers, then cut it out with an oval die.  Finally I sponged around it with Stormy Sky Distress Ink.  The Bare Tree is a die cut from Prickley Pear and the sentiment is from the Snowflake Inserts Stamp set.  Don't forget, there are more inspiration to be found on the PPRS blog too.  Happy Winter!

Happy Halloween!

This week I am using the Halloween Scribble Kitty for my main image.  This was a new fall release stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  I colored the image with Copic Markers, then trimmed down the white paper.  Next, I placed Removeable Scotch tape around the edges and the corners of the paper and sponged the paper with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.  Then I removed the tape and you now a framed image!  I added Candi to the corners for an added accent.  The background of the card uses Bo Bunny decorator paper, washi tape, and the Spiderweb Gate die. See more wonderful creations on the PPRS blog and I hope you have a Safe and Happy Halloween!

Fall Flower Display

It's that time of year with pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and colored leaves.  Today I am using the Daisies in Boot stamp from Prickley Pear as my main image.  I colored the flowers in fall colors and cut out the image with my Scan N Cut machine.  I cut out the Scallop Oval from Prickley Pear and while the die was still over the paper, I sponged the paper with Frayed Burlap.  Once the image was popped up onto the oval, I cut out a Flourish and separated it into two pieces.  Then I adhered the pieces behind the boot.  The background papers are from Bo Bunny.  The sentiment was form the Flourished Oval stamp set...and of course...I made a banner for my greeting!  Then popped on two Candi accents and my card was complete.  Meet the new design team on the PPRS blog today!

Checking His List

Here's another card using the Checking His List stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  Because this is a smaller size stamp, it lends itself to more of a collage looking card.  I like the ability of adding lots of extra accents to a card to add interest.  I made a small tag with the image, a banner with the sentiment and then I used the Poinsettia die and Holly leaf dies for accents.  The embossed circle was cut out using the Scallop Circle Nesting die from Prickley Pear and then sponged with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  The banner has embossed lines using the ScorBuddy and then sponging with the Distress Ink.  We are back to our Monday Inspirations, so check out the PPRS blog!

I am using the GG0197 Rooster for today's card.  This was fun to color!  I did a google search to find out how to color a rooster and was amazed at the multiple colors they are.  Then I used two dies from Cheery Lynn Designs to add some extra barnyard touches to the card.  This chicken wire background die makes a great accent when cut apart.  Then I added some black hinges from the hinge die set.   Finally I added the Many Thanks sentiment to complete the card.

If you are following the hop, you should have come from the PPRS blog and your next stop will be Angie's blog!

Thanks for playing with us this week!  Thanks for all your wonderful comments!

Amaryllis Joy

Today I am making a Christmas card with the Amaryllis Flower stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  This pairs nicely with the the Christmas Clear Stamp Set with the matching Flourished Oval die.  I made a border piece with the flowers and colored with Copic Markers.  Then I stamped the Amaryllis again and cut it out to pop up onto the card.  I added some Candi and the lacy border die cut from Cheery Lynn.  Be sure to see more beautiful creations on the PPRS blog!

Man's Best Friend

Bringing you something that is sure to give you a smile!  It's easy to smile when you look at this adorable puppy from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  I used decorator paper from Bo Bunny.  The puppy is color with E41, E42, E44 Copic Markers, then cut out with the circle die.  The sponging in the circle is done with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, then layed onto the doily die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I did sponge the doily with the distress ink to age it a bit.  The sentiment is from the Scalloped Circle Clear Set and cut out with the label dies from Cheery Lynn.  Then I added some Candi to "sweeten" it up.  Check out what inspiration the Design Team cooked up for you this week.  If you haven't done so yet, be sure to like us on facebook!

Home for the Holidays

Today on the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps blog, we are showcasing the Clear Oval Stamps Sets!  This card uses the CLR027B Winter Scalloped Ovals.  I stamped the cottage onto white cardstock, then colored it with Copic Markers.  I cut out around the oval, then popped it up onto the red scalloped oval cut out.  I cut out two of the holly leaves and stamped over the cut out with the CLR020 Holly Berry Stamp Set.  Then I colored them with Copic Markers and tucked them under the oval.  The background paper is from the Bo Bunny Blitzen Stripe paper.  I used the ScorBug to create the faux stitching and then add gold around the edges of the paper with the Gold Leafing Pen.  Be sure to check out the other ideas that are found on the PPRS blog!

Yuletide Greetings

This beautiful winter stamp, JJ0030 Reindeer Pair from Prickley Pear is featured on their blog today.  Be sure to see some samples of this stamp used on different cards.  I stamped this on white cardstock and colored the reindeer with Copic Markers.  Then I used the snowflake paper from Bo Bunny for part of the background.  I wanted to keep the feel of the cold, swirling snow on the card, so I added the Fanciful Flourishes die from Cheery Lynn.  The only problem is that it had the leaves, so with a snip of my scissors, off came the leaves and popped up some snowflakes onto the bare swirl.  The snowflakes were punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.  Thanks for stopping by!

Missed a Teenagers Birthday

This card fits two challenges this week. The sketch is from Cute Card Thursday and the theme follows the Charisma Cardz theme of Teenage Birthday. I used the Party Malkin Stamp and the I "Moosed" It stamp from Stamp Shoppe Creations. The image was colored with Copics. The light blue, green and brown for the sweater was all colored with the New Copic Colors. The Background paper is by Bo Bunny and the embossed background is from Cuttlebug. The "nailheads" were made with the Viva Decor Pearl Pens, then I tapped the card on the table several times for the pearl to drop and flatten. Just another look!! So now I have a card for a teenaged boy!

Easter is coming...

...do I smell Chocolate? Here I used my chocolate bunny, but instead of coloring him the traditional way, I used a negative mask and sponged the bunny with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and the sponge applicator. I used a little pink ink in the ears. Then I cut out the bunny with the oval Nestabilities and leaving the stencil on, I sponged more ink on the inside of the oval. I added more nesties for layers. Papers are from Bo Bunny. Stamps from Stamp Shoppe Creations

Scent-sational...

This Lil' Stinker from Stamp Shoppe Creations worked perfectly for the Saturday Sketchers challenge #139. I colored him with Copics and cut him out with nestabilities. I embossed the top half of the designer paper with a cuttlebug folder. Then I glued the strip of Bo Bunny striped paper on the background piece. Once that was together, I used the ScorBuddy and ScorBug to create faux stitching. The label was cut out with a nestabilities die and tied with the champagne seam binding. It is hard to see from the picture, but I also used the Spica glitter pens on the flowers to add a little bling! Thanks for looking!

A Spring in my step!

Today I am following the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge #175. I decided to use a square card to fit all my elements onto it. I love the pin idea and used the Tim Holtz Memo pins to attach my sentiment on. The sentiment and Bonnie Bunny are both new stamps from Stamp Shoppe Creations. We now carry a variety of seam binding ribbons in the store. Here I used the tea rose seam binding for the ribbons and bows. They are easy to tie and are easy to work with. The corner die is from Heartfelt Creations. Paper is by Bo Bunny. Hope this card put a little "spring" in you day!

Happy Brrrthday!

Today I used a little Magnolia girl sitting with flakes. I colored her with Copic Markers, cut her out and popped her up on a bench from Whiff of Joy. The images were layered on some of the new Bo Bunny winter paper. Snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. I added the sentiment from Amuse on a oval scallop piece of paper. Then I added pearls to the snowflakes and sentiment using the Viva pearl pen. This works well for those cold January birthdays!!

Heartfelt Winter Wishes

These Elegant Snowflake Medallions from Heartfelt Creations fit their Ornament die cuts. Just stamp and cut out six flakes with the matching nestabilities die, assemble and add a little embellishments and you have a beautiful snowflake. For the first card, I used the sentiment from Prickley Pear and cut out two ovals with the nestabilities. Then attached the smaller snowflake for an added accent on the card. Adding some silver ribbon, I tied it all together. For the background on the second card, I used some score tape with Microfine highlight glitter to add some extra sparkle. I layered the snowflakes on Bo Bunny's new winter papers. Both cards have some embossing to add some texture. These are quick and beautiful cards.

Midnight Madness challenge #82

Here's one of my cards for the Midnight Madness Challenge for this month. I used paper from the new Bo Bunny Midnight Frost collection. Then I used the snowflake border die from Tim Holtz and tied a ribbon around it with the sentiment tag. The sentiment is from Amuse. I stamped the bear from High Hopes and colored him with Copics. Then I popped him up on the Labels 11 Nestabilites dies, which I had sponged with Summer Sky Momento ink before removing the die. I used the snowflakes to create the circle doily piece behind my image. Stay warm!

Mojo Monday #170

I am finally doing another challenge!! Here is for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I used my little Ricky Raccoon from Stamp Shoppe Creations and added a heart tattoo for a Valentine's card. I colored him with Copics and added some white highlights with a white get pen. He is layered on some of the new Bo Bunny Valentine paper...The Crush collection. Instead of a circle, I used the heart nestabilities to follow the love theme. Hope you all have a happy Christmas tomorrow!!
