Flower Soft

We now have flower soft at The Stamp Shoppe. Here is a sample using AJ's stamps and Copics along with flower soft. The background is with the new cuttlebug flourish folder. This addes a great frame for stamped images. Then using the white memories dye ink pad, I highlighted the embossed image. Look for flower soft classes in the future!

Another Label

Here is a sample of Label nine. It is cute to add a different shape other than just a square or circle. Using the new star cuttlebug folder, I embossed only part of the pink paper. Then I used the Scor-Pal and and scored two lines and then using the ScorBug I added some stitch lines. Wow, what a cool background! You don't need much else and your card is done. I colored this mouse from Whiff of Joy with the Copics. Check out our other new stamps from Whiff of Joy.

Nestabilities has new Labels!!!

Using the Label six nestabilities, I glued half of the label to the decorative paper before running it through my cuttlebug. This is an older cuttlebug folder with the space for a word. I then used my ScorBug and embossed stitch lines. Then I cut a separate piece for my sentiment and attached with brads. These cuties are from Whippersnapper. I colored them with Copics and added highlights with my white gel pen. Adding some flowers and gems...finished! I have also used this label six die to make tag toppers.

New Class with Watercoloring

I will be having a class with watercoloring. In these two samples, I used the Distress Reinkers and waterbrush to color these images. In the class that I offer, you will learn where to leave hightlights, white spaces and shadowing. The next class will be October 22. Using the Distress inks, the images look more vintage and soft.

You make like SWEET

This sweet teddy is from Whippersnapper. This is one of the cards that we make in the Whippersnapper II class. We use Copic markers and white gel pen for the coloring. The frame is with the Labels 4 Nestabilities and the Copic Airbrush. I think I really like the airbrush system from Copic! My husband got me set up with an air compressor now, so I have been doing a lot of experimenting. We do have airbrush classes coming up at The Stamp Shoppe. One will be taught by Jane Bosi on Sept. 24th at 6:00. Give us a call if you are interested!!

Copic Class II

Saturday morning's class with Kathy Sanders was Copics with Colored Pencils. We colored this teddy bear in that class. Using the colored pencils to give "texture" to the bear and to create the illusion of transparency on the balloons. I finished my card with the oval piece that Kathy demonstrated on, in the afternoon with the Nestabilities and Copic Airbrush, and one of the NEW nestabilities Labels. The funnest birthday saying is from Amuse and seemed to fit with the "light" feeling of the card. Again, there was lots covered in this class. The coloring wasn't exactly how I wanted it to turn out, but remember...Practice makes perfect!

Copic Class I

We had classes at The Stamp Shoppe this past weekend. Kathy Sanders from Whippersnapper Designs came to teach some coloring technique classes on Friday night and Saturday morning. This was a sample of one of the cards we did in the Friday night class. We learned about how the light shines on objects, where to put highlights and shadows. These stamps were from Impression Obsession and colored with copic Markers and used some Prismacolored pencils. There was much information...now to practice, practice, practice. If you would like to see some of Kathy's work, check her out on Splitcoaststampers.com under colorin' kate.

Happy 40th Party

Here is the party invitations I sent out for my husband's 40th birthday party. We celebrated with a friend of ours that was also turning 40. It was a success and Craig was very surprised! We did a Murder Mystery Dinner. I sent out the invitations ahead of time with the character information in them. This card has a pocket on the inside for the papers that I sent ahead of time. This cutie was colored with Copics and distressed with a paper scraper and Distress inks. The clip on the corner was saved from some of Craig's dress shirts. I thought that they were worth saving...I was sure I could use them on some card! We had a great time at the party. Now I have lots of pictures to scrapbook :)
