A Prickley Pear Christmas

Today I am featuring the Prickley Pear Clear Stamp Sets and the matching dies.  This Winter's Butterfly card used the Butterflies Clear Set.  The background was embossed with the Darice Snowflake embossing folder, then using Distress inks create the colorful background.  The Butterfly was cut out with the butterfly die, then stamped with the image.  It was colored with the Distress inks as well.  Then I used the clear Stardust gel pen to add some glitter highlights to it.

This next card uses the Cardinals Clear stamp set. Cut out the cardinal from decorative red paper with the die then stamp the cardinal onto decorative paper.  Place cardinal on more decorative paper with the pine branch die.  Add some Candi to finish it off!

Riley Tuesday

I hope you enjoyed the new release of Riley and Company stamps last week, but we still have lots more to show you!  The Riley stamps are fun to use with the Funny Bone sayings.  Because Riley is always the perfect size...not too big and not too small, he's fun to use on cards that have some moving parts to them!!
For this wedding card, I used the Sizzix frame to create an arch to the card and put the Riley couple on the inside. The background uses the Taylored Expressions brick embossing folder on cream paper and the flowers and leaves are dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. Then I added the sentiment on top.  However, it was a little too big...no problem!! Stamp part for the front and add the rest on the inside!!
This second card uses the Scuba Riley.  My oldest son got his Diving Certification and I thought this would be a fun card for him.  I used the Slide On Over die from Lawn Fawn and after I cut out Riley, I put him on a slider tab.  I made a frame and embossed it with the Weathered embossing folder from Taylor Expressions and put acetate behind it to make a window.  At the top I used a water die to show water.  Then on the inside and outside the frame I used the Tree 2 die from Prickley Pear to make coral.  Finally, I added the sentiment across the top.  This scuba guy will pull up behind the sentiment the appear as the tab is pushed down.  Hope you enjoyed the cards and be sure to check out the Riley blog for more card ideas from the talented Design Team today!!

A Poem for mornings

Welcome to the final day of the New Release stamps from Riley & Company!  We hope you enjoyed all the new images and sentiments. But we aren't finished yet...
Grab a cup of coffe, sit back and enjoy!
I think this sentiment is perfect for those of us that need to have a cup of Joe to get us on the right track to begin our day.  I used the top part of the sentiment for the card topper, then used the rest of the sentiment...the "poem" as a tag that fits behind the image of Coffee Riley.

So while you are still enjoying your morning cup of coffee, stop on over to the Riley blog and see more inspiration there!

Both clear sets come with matching dies!
What about a Blue Spruce for a Blue Christmas?  It's fun to make a Non-traditional card sometimes too! Add a bow on the tree and presents under the tree...Oh what fun to mix and match!!

Celebrating a Birthday!!

Here's to another day of Celebrating the Riley and Company's new release!  Also, today is my Dad's birthday so...let's show you how the new Funny Bones sayings can lighten the Special day!
This Popping out of the cake Riley seemed perfect for this cake sentiment.  Even though these are one stamp, I like to separate the sentiments and often put the punchline inside the card.
The Balloons Riley is my go to image with many of these Birthday Sayings.  Check out more of these Hilarious sayings at Riley & Company today.  They are guaranteed to light your mood and even bring a chuckle or two!  Check out more great ideas on the blog too.

Coffee Time

I love this stamp from Prickley Pear!

This Coffee Cup was released this week along with the Tea Cup...so whatever you prefer as your beverage of choice...you can use!  I love the versatility of these stamps. Thye are a silhouette so you can stamp and emboss as a solid image and make your own background with Color Burst, Distress Inks, or whatever medium you choose.  Then just add a sentiment and some embellishments to finish it off. With the Coffee Cup, I stamped the image with Toffee Crunch Moment ink and then colored over the ink with Copic Markers.  This creates painted look!
Have fun with these images and play around with them to see what creative ideas you come up with!  Again, don't forget to hop over to the PPRS blog for more incredible ideas from the design team!!

Simply Hilarious

These new stamps are sure to tickle your Funny Bones!! Pair these sentiments to these adorable Riley images and you have a winner!  These Nurse Sophie seemed perfect for the Laughter is the best Medicine sentiment.  I used some die cut letter to make a prescription pad as the background.
The Lessons Learned sentiment is great for this little Floating Riley. I just added a few decorative papers to the background and sponged the sentiment panel...finally, I added Riley to the card.
Remember to join us everyday this week to see what else the design team has cooked up for your amusement on the blog!  Tell us what is your favorite saying...we would love to hear!

Here is the Polka Dot house 2.  I used some bright Copic Markers to add to the light mood these stamps inspire!  Just add a few decorative elements and a sentiment...and the card is complete!
This next card uses the Mushroom Lane Apartment stamp.  I used a scrap paper for the circle scallop opening to frame the building.  The sentiment was from using part of the new Friends Value You sentiment from the Funny Bones collection.

Halloween is Coming!

Here are two adorable Halloween Riley images.  Of course when you pair them with the perfectly fitting Funny Bones sayings...They are more than a little adorable!
With the Standing Witch Riley, I inked the top part of the saying on a retangular paper.  Then I used the Distress Stain and with the Dauber top, I smashed it to the paper to create the splatter blob.  This was an idea I got from my extreemly creative friend, Michelle! Finally, I used Distress ink and the ScorBuddy with the ScorPal to finish the background piece.  The rest of the saying I then stamped onto a strip of white card stock.  Then I used Removeable tape with distress ink to create the banner.
This Holding Pumpkin Riley is fun to pair with the I love Halloween sentiment.  Using background paper with candy, it fits the Treat or Treat theme too!  Hope you enjoyed some of the Halloween inspiration today.  Be sure to see more great ideas on the Riley blog!

This first card uses the Balloons Riley on a mini wobble that is popped up over the Funny Bones Birthday greeting.  Using the tree frame from Impression Obsession and the grassy border die from Cheery Lynn to finish it off!
This second card used Diet Riley on a flip card.  These flip cards are so easy when you use the Sizzix Flip-Its dies.  Then I used the Lawn Fawn stitched frame die to create a shaker card. with a peek-a-boo window that reveals the No Sprinkles saying inside.  Join us for this fun class!

Desk Calendars

Using the Mushroom Lane Stamps from Riley and Company, I created these Desk Calendars.  I thought they would be great for teacher gifts, or gift for someone when you would like to get them "a little something".  I used the Sizzix Stand-Ups dies to create the calendar stand.  Then I added papers and die elements to create the scene. After decorating the stand, I popped up the Mushroom House as the main image, then added the calendar to the base.
Here, I added along with the cut out mushroom house, a cute little fox from Taylored Expressions.  Then for some extra dimension, I add some small dragonflies from Impression Obession.
Finally, I used the same image to make a matching card to go with the little gift.
You can find more of these adorable Mushroom houses at Riley and Company.  They are fun to color with Copic Markers and have a cute, whimsical feel to these projects.  All products can be found at The Stamp Shoppe, in Weston, Wisconsin.  Come in and see us soon!

Tropical Riley

Today I am using two Riley Stamps that have a more tropical theme along with two new release funny bones stamps!
Here I stamped the Be a Pineapple sentiment and cut it apart to place Carmen Miranda between them.  I used a scrap of paper that I cut a scallop circle out of.  Laying it over decorative paper, then adding a piece of pink cardstock make a background for Riley.  Then to finish it off with some pearls I made with the Viva Decor Pearl Pen.
Here is another funny saying that was just released this month!  This Hula Sophie was perfect with this sentiment!  I stamped her on white cardstock and mounted it onto some blue paper.  Then I placed a wobbles behind the image to create motion.  Just add some palm fronds from Cheery Lynn and die cut poinsettia flowers from Prickley Pear with some Candi and it completes the card. Be sure to check out the Riley blog for more fantastic cards!

I love coffee!

This is one of my favorite sizzix dies.  It's the gift card Flip it Die. I like to decorate the front of the card and when you open it up...it flips over to show the gift card.  Wouldn't it be great to add a Starbuck's Gift Card with this adorable Riley image?  There are some many funny coffee sayings from the Funny Bones collection that would work with this as well!  Come in to The Stamp Shoppe and see our great Collection of Riley images!

Gray Skies...

Today I am showcasing the Umbrella Clear set from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  This set along with the matching dies are so much fun to work it...and the possibilites are endless!

Once I cut out the umbrella from white cardstock, I used the negative over this decorative paper with the umbrella sections to create a fun look.  These adorable little ducks are included in the set.  These ducks would also be cute for a "Ducks in a Row" card.
Using the Umbrella sections, I popped them up over the cut out umbrella.  Then using the matching flower clusters, also included in the set, as added decoration to the card. Check out the PPRS blog today to see more lovely samples from the talented Design Team!  All the new Clear Stamps are in the store now!

Mushroom Lane

I love these charming Mushrooms...new to Riley and Company.  They are so fun to color with Copic Markers!  These stamps have so many adorable little details with each of the different structures.  Here I am using the Polkadot House and the Post Office

I stamped extra flowers from this stamp to use as extra accents on the card.  I fould this purple paper in my stash of scraps that included Garden Words that fit perfectly with the Mushroom House.
With this Post Office, I used some brown Decorator paper to make a little dirt mound for the image to sit on.  Then I used some strips of paper for banners and punched 3/8" circles that I formed with my flower shaping tool to create "Candi" to match the background.  Finally, I used some small cut out letters to make the HELLO greeting.  These are so fun to color with Copics!  They are whimsical, allowing you to be creative with color choices.  Hope you are having a great week!

I Scream for Ice Cream!

Now onto day Four!!
Today I am showcasing this Ice Cream Clear Set from Prickley Pear.  This is so versatile and so fun to use!!

Here I made an ice cream sundae/float boat.  Add some strawberry, vanilla, mint and chocolate with some whipped cream and a cherry on top!  Life IS happier with ice cream!

If you prefer a cone, just add as many scoops as you want with as many flavors as you want...YUM!  This reminds us of Briq's...the place to be in the summer here in Weston, Wisconsin.  This is the place of the 1# cone!
Then with summer winding down, Fall is just around the corner.  Make these scoops into a carmel apple (also a Briq specialty).  Add some Crystal Lacquor on top and it looks so gooey, tasty and Carmelly good!!  I love, love, love these new clear stamps from PPRS.  Be sure to check out their blog and the blogs of the design team...Lots of great cards!  Prickley Stamp Sets will be in The Stamp Shoppe soon!

Scratch Off Cards

Here are two fun cards using the Scratch-Offs stickers and stamps from Inky Antics.  In the Birthday Lotto card, I also added a Party Grumpling from Taylored Expressions and some party balloons to the card.  The secret scratch off messages include: Wrinkles, Memory Loss, Dentures, Hearing Aids, etc. as the "prizes", so I thought the Grumpling would be the perfect add-on for this card.  The second card is another clear set from Inky Antics. These sets have a question and an answer stamp.  Then you can cover the answer and the recipient can scratch the sticker to reveal the message...very fun!  Next week Thursday, we are having a class at The Stamp Shoppe to make these cards.  Come in and join the fun!
