Another Pop Up Card

Yesterday I used the House and Fence Pop Up die for the Fall Pumpkin card.  Well today I am using another new die from Karen Burniston.  This is the new Sleigh Pop Up die. This works great with some of the new images from Riley and Company too!
I used the Riley the Grinch with this Christmas sleigh. Then I used the nesting pierced circle die and cut it part way out of brown paper.  The I free-hand cut the bag and continued to pierce around the bag to match the die.  Then I used some jute to tie the bag and glued it into the sleigh.  I used Tucker with the new Tucker die and accessorized him with the deer antlers and jingle bell collar from the Riley Christmas Outfits stamp set and matching dies. The Hi. It's Me. Sentiment is also new.  Check out more of the great new images released this week! Then see the Riley blog for new ideas twice a day!

I used the Fall Dress Ups for this Pop Up card.  The card was a so easy to create with the new Karen Buriston House and Fence Pop Up die. Then I stamped some of the fall accents, colored them with Copic Markers and then cut them out with the matching die.  Finally, I adhered them to the pop up pieces and...it was done!  I just added the Happy Pumpkin Spice Sentiment for the final step.
For this second card, I used some of the same accessories from the Fall Dress Up Set with the same sentiment, but with Cocoa Riley. Riley is always fun to dress up with these cute Dress Up sets, but they are also fun to use for accents to any card.  Be sure to take advantage of the Special this week!  Stop by the Riley Blog and see other fun samples that the Design has made this week.

Welcome back to day five of our New Release! I hope you have enjoyed seeing the beautiful stamps and ideas, but we aren't done yet!  We still have more to show you!
I am using the Dainty Dragonflies again today with the Matching Dies.  They accentuate the Riley Sentiment that was just released last week.  The Pierced Nested Circle die from Riley was used to make the purple ring.
I paired the new bicycle with the Life Doesn't have to be perfect sentiment.  Then to add a bit more to the card, I stamped the Petunia and cut it out to pop up onto the card.  The Lattice background was cut with a die from Our Daily Bread. Don't forget...you get free shipping over $15. See more cards on the PPRS blog too!

I loved this Sleepy Riley with this Aspire to be sentiment, because your dog loves you no matter what you look like in the morning...right?

Riley Release 2017 Day 5

We hope that you enjoyed all the new images and cards brought to you from Riley and Company this week!  We certainly enjoyed sharing.  So...here is just a little more!
I used the Rainy Day Riley for this new Faith Sentiment.  A great sentiment for someone that is going through a tough time and may not see brightness that will come.
A Camping sentiment needs Camping Riley!  I used the Tim Holtz Trees Embossing folder in the background.  I inked the folder with brown dye ink and embossed tan cardstock. I cut out a word bubble...One of the new word bubble sets from Riley to add my sentiment to.  These are fun to use for many of the Funny Bones Sayings!!

I hope you loved what you saw. We loved creating with these fun, new stamps and dies.  Remember there are Specials available to you this week, so don't miss out on these great deals!  Check out the Riley Blog to see all the new product as well as Specials.

Riley Release 2017 Day 4!!

As promised...we are taking a trip down Mushroom Lane today!  These are adorable little mushroom houses and they are so much fun to color with Copic Markers.  Coloring Books have become increasingly more popular, but I still prefer to color images like these...and then make a card!!!
Here is the House with Cellar.  I colored it in browns and turquoise colors that matched my background paper.  I cropped the three sides, but then fussy cut the bottom to allow for less white space.  I added a topper with die cut leaves and pearls to finish it off.
Next I used the Tree Stump House. This is one of my favorites.  I love the large flower and the cute little lady bugs to add a splash of color.  I just added a bit of baker's twine and some more die cut leaves and the card was complete!  These images are the perfect size to fill up a card, add a couple of accents...and there you go!!
Finally I am using House 3. The thing that I love about this house is the open areas to make the house your own! After looking at the chimney, I thought that the under side of the roof should have some doodling on it.  And doesn't it look cute???  I have gotten into add what I call "Zen-doodling" to my stamped images.  I'm not certified to Zentangle, but I can doodle with checks, dots and loops...adding my own flare.  This is so relaxing and can make great images, extraordinary!

I hope you had fun touring our little town of Mushroom Lane!  Do you love this little village and want to make it your own?? Buy all five of the new release collection for only $45.  Check out the more great samples on the Riley Blog. There are some adorable Tri-fold sample cards that display 2 - 3 more images on one card!

See you tomorrow!!

Riley Release 2017 Day 3!!

Love all the new Funny Bone sayings!!! Each one is funnier than the next.  It will have you holding your sides as you howl with laughter.  Remember...Laughter is the best medicine and what better way to get a few laughs than with Riley!
I especially love that so many of these saying go perfectly with many of the Riley stamps.  You already have some of these Riley images?  Make them fresh with a new saying or two!  Here I used Fishing Riley with this new Blessings sentiment.  This saying is perfect for Retirement, St. Patty's Day, Weddings, Birthdays and more!!
I love this Floating Riley with the napping is a mini vacation stamp.  That's my idea of a perfect vacation anyway!!
But seriously though...there are times that the only thing appropriate is a little encouragement or inspiration. Riley has plenty of those sentiments too!  I used the Bunny Hugs stamp with this new Bright and Beautiful sentiment.  The background is done with Color Burst and a Sun Ray die cut over the top.  Ahhh...wouldn't this be a card that could brighten someone's day?

Check out the entire new line of Funny Bone sayings.  Love them All?  Get all 14 of them for only $75, all savings of $16.00 or you can buy them unmounted for $50 which saves you $20!!

Riley Release 2017 Day 2

Welcome Back to Day 2 of the Riley Release!  I am again using the Dress-up Riley simply because he/she is so fun to dress up.  Again...I am using both of the Basic Riley stamps with the matching dies. These accessories come from the clear Valentine/St. Patty's Accessories and the Winter Accessories stamp set.
Here I used one of the new Funny Bone sayings.  While using the MISTI, I inked up the "Getting Lucky" with Green ink, then inked up the rest of the sentiment in black. I love the MISTI because you can re-stamp images until the are bold and perfect!
Mixing a little Irish with a little Packer tie to make this card. (Go Packers!!!) The funny bone sentiment was from the last release.  So even though it's not new, there are hundreds of hysterical sayings that are perfect with this guy! So be sure to check out the many sayings.
WARNING: you will Laugh Out Loud!
Want the more traditional Irish dress? Grab a kilt and paddy cap!  The sentiment is from Prickley Pear. Next week we are debuting their new release, so come back every day!!! Today, CardMaker Magazine is also having a Blog Hop!  So I hope you play along.  There is so much to see! If you are following the hop, you have come from Stephanie's blog.

Now without further ado...Here's a glimpse of what is new at Riley & Company!!!  Starting off with The Dress-Up Riley...This little guy/girl comes in two poses.  There are three clear stamp sets of accessories with matching dies.  Dress Riley up to celebrate any occasion or season!
Here I used the accessories from the Snow Fun Set.  I thought that the Naughty or Nice sentiment from Prickley Pear would great with him and his snowballs!!
Here is the other Dress-Up Riley using accessories from the Spring occasion clear set.  This set includes clothing and props for Valentines and St. Patrick's Day. All these stamps have matching dies, so it makes it so easy to use. These are so much fun!!  I stamped and cut out several pieces, colored them all, then mixed and matched them to make several cards.
Then I was thinking it would be so fun to make Riley into Paper Dolls for kids to play with!  So I stamped the images onto cardstock, then placed them on the Xyron magnetic sheets. and cut them out with the dies.  These dies cut right through the magnets.  Then I colored them with Copic Markers.  I happen to have a small tin that I had planned to decorate some day...and thought..."This would be perfect for this!" Riley sticks right to the tin and the extra clothing and accessories are stored in the case.

There are so many "Laugh out Loud" new sentiment too! I love these sayings because you don't necessarily need to have a special occasion to send cards.  You love making cards and you just want to send a card to brighten someone's day. These sayings are perfect for this!!  Many of them fit into the new word bubble dies that they now have!!

Here's another funny saying...
We will be showing you more of these hilarious sayings all week.  If you want to see the entire collection, go to the Riley store now.  They have great specials if you want them all!!

Are you in love with the whimsical Mushroom Houses on Mushroom Lane?  There are five new ones to add to your collection!  I love to color these images, because they can be as colorful as you like.  For me...the more color the better!
On this mushroom I decided to do a little "Zen-doodling" on the underside of the roof.  I matched the checks on the chimney and thought it would be cute to add more of the calico look throughout!

I hope you enjoyed a peek at some of these new stamps from Riley and Company.  There are many specials being offered this week, and you don't want to miss out.  You can check them out at the top of this post!  If you are hopping with us from CardMaker Magazine, your next stop will be Joy's blog. Riley Tuesday

I hope you enjoyed the new release of Riley and Company stamps last week, but we still have lots more to show you!  The Riley stamps are fun to use with the Funny Bone sayings.  Because Riley is always the perfect size...not too big and not too small, he's fun to use on cards that have some moving parts to them!!
For this wedding card, I used the Sizzix frame to create an arch to the card and put the Riley couple on the inside. The background uses the Taylored Expressions brick embossing folder on cream paper and the flowers and leaves are dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. Then I added the sentiment on top.  However, it was a little too big...no problem!! Stamp part for the front and add the rest on the inside!!
This second card uses the Scuba Riley.  My oldest son got his Diving Certification and I thought this would be a fun card for him.  I used the Slide On Over die from Lawn Fawn and after I cut out Riley, I put him on a slider tab.  I made a frame and embossed it with the Weathered embossing folder from Taylor Expressions and put acetate behind it to make a window.  At the top I used a water die to show water.  Then on the inside and outside the frame I used the Tree 2 die from Prickley Pear to make coral.  Finally, I added the sentiment across the top.  This scuba guy will pull up behind the sentiment the appear as the tab is pushed down.  Hope you enjoyed the cards and be sure to check out the Riley blog for more card ideas from the talented Design Team today!!

A Poem for mornings

Welcome to the final day of the New Release stamps from Riley & Company!  We hope you enjoyed all the new images and sentiments. But we aren't finished yet...
Grab a cup of coffe, sit back and enjoy!
I think this sentiment is perfect for those of us that need to have a cup of Joe to get us on the right track to begin our day.  I used the top part of the sentiment for the card topper, then used the rest of the sentiment...the "poem" as a tag that fits behind the image of Coffee Riley.

So while you are still enjoying your morning cup of coffee, stop on over to the Riley blog and see more inspiration there!

Celebrating a Birthday!!

Here's to another day of Celebrating the Riley and Company's new release!  Also, today is my Dad's birthday so...let's show you how the new Funny Bones sayings can lighten the Special day!
This Popping out of the cake Riley seemed perfect for this cake sentiment.  Even though these are one stamp, I like to separate the sentiments and often put the punchline inside the card.
The Balloons Riley is my go to image with many of these Birthday Sayings.  Check out more of these Hilarious sayings at Riley & Company today.  They are guaranteed to light your mood and even bring a chuckle or two!  Check out more great ideas on the blog too.

Simply Hilarious

These new stamps are sure to tickle your Funny Bones!! Pair these sentiments to these adorable Riley images and you have a winner!  These Nurse Sophie seemed perfect for the Laughter is the best Medicine sentiment.  I used some die cut letter to make a prescription pad as the background.
The Lessons Learned sentiment is great for this little Floating Riley. I just added a few decorative papers to the background and sponged the sentiment panel...finally, I added Riley to the card.
Remember to join us everyday this week to see what else the design team has cooked up for your amusement on the blog!  Tell us what is your favorite saying...we would love to hear!

Join us today through Friday to see what's new from Riley & Company!  Today I am showing the new Mushroom Lane Stamps.  These adorable images are so fun to color!  They are whimsical and fun! Here is the Polka Dot house 2.  I used some bright Copic Markers to add to the light mood these stamps inspire!  Just add a few decorative elements and a sentiment...and the card is complete!
This next card uses the Mushroom Lane Apartment stamp.  I used a scrap paper for the circle scallop opening to frame the building.  The sentiment was from using part of the new Friends Value You sentiment from the Funny Bones collection.
There are 31 new Funny Bones sayings, so be sure to check them out!  Each one is funnier than the next!  Receive free shipping on your online order by typing FREESHIP in the coupon code box.  See lots of these hilarious cards on the company Blog!

Halloween is Coming!

Here are two adorable Halloween Riley images.  Of course when you pair them with the perfectly fitting Funny Bones sayings...They are more than a little adorable!
With the Standing Witch Riley, I inked the top part of the saying on a retangular paper.  Then I used the Distress Stain and with the Dauber top, I smashed it to the paper to create the splatter blob.  This was an idea I got from my extreemly creative friend, Michelle! Finally, I used Distress ink and the ScorBuddy with the ScorPal to finish the background piece.  The rest of the saying I then stamped onto a strip of white card stock.  Then I used Removeable tape with distress ink to create the banner.
This Holding Pumpkin Riley is fun to pair with the I love Halloween sentiment.  Using background paper with candy, it fits the Treat or Treat theme too!  Hope you enjoyed some of the Halloween inspiration today.  Be sure to see more great ideas on the Riley blog!

Riley Class 2

Don't you think Riley is the most adorable moose ever??  Pair her up with these Funny Bone Sayings and you have the funniest cards!  Join us for the Riley class we are having at The Stamp Shoppe on Saturday, October 8th. Here are samples of two of the cards we will be making...
This first card uses the Balloons Riley on a mini wobble that is popped up over the Funny Bones Birthday greeting.  Using the tree frame from Impression Obsession and the grassy border die from Cheery Lynn to finish it off!
This second card used Diet Riley on a flip card.  These flip cards are so easy when you use the Sizzix Flip-Its dies.  Then I used the Lawn Fawn stitched frame die to create a shaker card. with a peek-a-boo window that reveals the No Sprinkles saying inside.  Join us for this fun class!

Desk Calendars

Using the Mushroom Lane Stamps from Riley and Company, I created these Desk Calendars.  I thought they would be great for teacher gifts, or gift for someone when you would like to get them "a little something".  I used the Sizzix Stand-Ups dies to create the calendar stand.  Then I added papers and die elements to create the scene. After decorating the stand, I popped up the Mushroom House as the main image, then added the calendar to the base.
Here, I added along with the cut out mushroom house, a cute little fox from Taylored Expressions.  Then for some extra dimension, I add some small dragonflies from Impression Obession.
Finally, I used the same image to make a matching card to go with the little gift.
You can find more of these adorable Mushroom houses at Riley and Company.  They are fun to color with Copic Markers and have a cute, whimsical feel to these projects.  All products can be found at The Stamp Shoppe, in Weston, Wisconsin.  Come in and see us soon!
