Scratch Off Cards

Here are two fun cards using the Scratch-Offs stickers and stamps from Inky Antics.  In the Birthday Lotto card, I also added a Party Grumpling from Taylored Expressions and some party balloons to the card.  The secret scratch off messages include: Wrinkles, Memory Loss, Dentures, Hearing Aids, etc. as the "prizes", so I thought the Grumpling would be the perfect add-on for this card.  The second card is another clear set from Inky Antics. These sets have a question and an answer stamp.  Then you can cover the answer and the recipient can scratch the sticker to reveal the message...very fun!  Next week Thursday, we are having a class at The Stamp Shoppe to make these cards.  Come in and join the fun!

Summertime Fun

I did a challenge this week! The challenge was to use the colors...Orange, sunshine yellow and kiwi green. These ice cream girls seemed to fit in perfect with the color scheme. The glitter paper from Doodlebug and Spica glitter pens from Copic add some bling to the card. With these Inky Antic stamps the images are very detailed. The Spicas can color in a small area easily and also adds some sparkle!! The flowers are from Prima. Use colored flowers to compliment the card. I used a flower in the center of the larger flower creating a new look entirely. Hope this gets your creative juices flowing!! Maybe you can try the challenge too!

Bright and Sunny!

With this card I am posting the last TWO of the images for the Beach Girls Collection from Inky Antics. Image colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Lots of Circles on this one imitate the volleyball. The card base has been embossed with Cuttlebug's Circle Embossing Folder. The designer paper from WeR Memory Keepers has been faux stitched over some glittery circle punched pieces from Doodlebug's glitter paper. Finally the eyelet that holds the tag on the card.
I hope you've enjoyed taking a peek at this collection. I'd love to hear which image(s) is your favorite! ~michelle~

Have A Splashin' Great Day!

TWO more images from Inky Antic's new release! This card base is the beautifully blingy Doodlebug Glitter paper. I chose it for a wet and watery look. Image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I doodled around the edge of the image. A gem dresses up a simple circle punched from the WeR Memory Keepers Designer Paper.
A tip: Use a strip of cardstock slightly wider than a narrow ribbon or piece of ricrac for the fun look of a wider ribbon. An easy way to coordinate ribbons and designer papers! ~michelle~

You Can't Stop The Waves....

I like this saying....how true it is! TWO more new images from Inky Antics on this card.
TIP: a little loop of ribbon is enough to anchor this tag.
TIP: cutting designer paper that resembles waves is a fun and FREE embellishment!

Hope Your Day Is Bright And Sunny!

This card gives me goosebumps today!! Too bad the warm weather didn't stick around a bit longer!! I did wear my flip flops to school the other day....with my coat!

TWO more new images from Inky Antics. Designer paper is from WeR Memory Keepers. I rand the Doodlebug glitter paper through the Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder to resemble waves.

Tip: Use a folded circle punched piece and a staple for a fun ribbon embellishment!

You're Sun-sational!

I'm taking you on a journey through this stamp collection by Inky Antics! Here are TWO more new images that were just released. Designer paper is by WeR Memory Keepers, and has been faux stitched. Image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The glitter paper is by Doodlebug and was layered on brown cardstock that was punched with a large scalloped oval punch by Marvy-Uchida. I layered narrow ricrac over wider ribbon to mimic the waves!
Record-breaking weather here today....very warm for February....feels like summer after our very cold January! Lovin' it! ~michelle~

Back in the Swim of Things!

It's RAINING here tonight....so to celebrate I thought we needed another summery swimming card!! This one showcases TWO more of the Inky Antics stamps. Colored with the Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I used adhesive gems to frame my sentiment....giving it a glitzy *sunny* sort of look. Doodling and faux stitching add some extra eye candy. Designer Paper is by WeR Memory Keepers. ~michelle~

I'll get back to more seasonal stuff....I'm just sick of freezing and am trying to think some warm thoughts here!!Here are TWO more of the new Inky Antics images colored in Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I love the Doodlebug Glitter paper...just a little bit adds a punch of bling....bling that is *flat* and requires no extra postage to mail!! I used some faux stitching to *sew* her little list to the card. In hind sight I should have checked all of them off but *YOU* on the list! Next time I guess!

Just Add Water!

Here is another Inky Antics card using THREE of their new images! The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The glitter paper is by Doodlebug and Heidi has it in several colors I believe. On this card I cut it as a frame to resemble the glittering swimming pool water. Another Prima flower *splash*, piercing and faux stitching finish off this card. The designer paper is from WeR Memory Keepers. ......Summer's coming!! ~michelle~

NEW INKY ANTICS....Coming soon!

CHA is over...and now I can share some of the cards that went to CHA without me!! These images are new from Inky Antics and I happen to know that on order is going in for these lovely little ladies!! The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol (or odorless mineral spirits) The sand has been stippled and the sky has been sponged with a very open sponge dauber. The designer paper is by WeRMemoryKeepers. It's 34* here tonight....a heat wave after our very chilly January!! ~michelle~

You're a Treat

Let someone know that they are sweet. These chefs from Inky Antics are cooking up something special. Did I say that I like the Cosmo Cricket paper packs? Here that paper from the pack works great with this card too. Again I had a scrap on my desk that I had previously cut out the center with the nestabilities. It worked here as well. Adding a little faux stitching and flowers with decorative brads pulls it all together. A little sweetness can perk up anyone's day!

Some more Inky Antics!

Heidi beat me to making a card with this image....but I was working on this fun little feller too!
I colored him with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. His tummy is white flocking and his glass and ice cube are coated in Diamond Glaze. I used the Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder on vellum for a frosty look. The designer paper is Cloud9 Design. The glitter dots are by Dress It Up! and are available in various colors at The Stamp Shoppe.

Hope you are keeping warm and had a happy weekend! ~michelle~

Have an 'Icy" Day!

Here's another "cool" stamp from Inky Antics. This penguin is so cute with the greetings from Wisconsin. The ovals were cut out with Nestabilities. The penguin was colored with...you guessed it! Copic Markers. The background was done with the bouncing brayer technique. It gives an icy water look which is perfect for this card. Check out our classes in January! There are some great ones coming up and you can make this card in the brayer techniques class. Stay warm and Have a GREAT Holiday Season!

Wisdom From A Snowman

Who can't use a little advice from a snowman this year?! This fun stamp is by Inky Antics and is colored with Copic Markers and Copic's At You Spica Glitter Pens. The designer paper is by Heidi Grace Designs. The only other embellishment on this is a tiny button sewed on the card with embroidery floss. Just a little tip.....no naked buttons on cards....finish them off with some ribbon or coordinating floss to make them pop! Stay Warm! ~michelle~

Cuttlebug class

We are playing with the cuttlebug this week. There are four cards that we do in the class. We brayer the templates, cut out embossed images and sand them. There is so much you can do with these embossing folders and they make a perfect background. If you are interested in the class, just send an email or give us a call. If you can't make it this week, keep checking our calendar to see when it is offered again.
