You're a Special Tweet!

I choose this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers for this card. First, I stamped my Calico Cat from Stamp Shoppe Creations and the Bird's nest from Memory Box. Then colored all the images with Copics. I then, cut out the nest and popped it on the tree branch after I stenciled clouds in the background. I used the Large scallop Nestabilities to mat the cut out images. All papers that I used were from We R Memory. The special tweet stamp was from High Hopes and was the perfect sentiment for this card. Notice!!! I used the NEW, just came in, Tim Holtz sun rays texture fades embossing folder. Then I distressed the embossing to make it POP! Hope your day is a real "tweet" :)

No Lion...

Here's a Cute Card Thursday sketch! I decided that this lion had to be on this card. For the swirls and embellishments, I used the jungle leaves and some prima flowers. (All stamps are Stamp Shoppe Creations) I colored Leo with copic markers and added some highlights with the Signo white gel pen. The cordinating papers are by Scrap within Reach. Thanks for looking!

Love bear-eth All Things

Here I used the down and out bear from Stamp Shoppe Creations. I then masked him and stamped the trees and leaves from Memory Box behind him to create a forest scene. Then I colored everything with Copic Markers. I stamped the mischiveous squirell from Memory Box, colored him and cut him out. Then I popped him up on the bear's back. The tag was made from the Spellbinders Fancy tags. I stamped the sentiment from Stamp Shoppe Creations on the long oval tag and stamped the leaves above and below the sentiment to fill in the white space. Then I mounted everything on the NEW Bo Bunny Travel paper. This would make a good cheer up card...don't you think?

Happy Birthday Dude!

Cute Card Thursday has a boyz to men card challenge this week. I thought that my Dude would be perfect for the teenager in your life! I colored him in with Copics and distressed around the edges to lessen the "white" space. I used the tire cuttlebug folder for the background and used the Happy Birthday Dude Sentiment.

Midnight Madness blogaversary!

Here's my Midnight Madness card for their blogaversary. Congratulations Priscilla and the DT for a year of great inspiration and over 1750 followers...WOW! I rotated this sketch to fit my walrus image. Then I used some of the new Tim Holtz On Edge dies for the extra strips of paper. Adding some swirls, pearls, ribbon and a tag...adds so much interest. I felt the image needed a sentiment, so I added that as an extra.

Mojo Monday Sketch 137

I am doing two challenges in one today. This layout was done by following the sketch you see below, from this weeks Mojo Monday challenge. I stamped my "Holy Cow" and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I cut out the sentiment with the new Mega oval Nestabilities. After I embossed the stencil, I left the stencil on the cut paper and sponged some of the Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
This week's Cute Card Thursday challenge was to Make Your Own embellishments, so I made my own "Cow spot" paper and colored them with Copic Markers. Then I used black shrink paper and punched them out with circle punches to make my own buttons. Then I used the ScorPal and ScorBug to make my own faux stitches. It was fun to come up with my own embellishments. Sometimes that is what you have to do, when what you are looking for just isn't available to purchase...using your own creativity :)

Long time, No Sea!!

This little dophin was inspired by those we saw at Sea World a month ago. She's a new stamp from Stamp Shoppe Creations and colored with Copic Markers. Using the sketch from the Friday Sketchers challenge, we made this card. The center strip was embossed with the Cuttlebug embossing folder and distressed on the edges. Rubbing a white dye ink pad over the raised part of the paper gives more of a watery feel. The edges was made from the new Tim Holtz On Edge sizzix die. Using the scrap piece of paper as well. Then added a white swirl to create the feeling of the dophin jumping out of the water. This was a great sketch!!
