Pop Up with Glitter Class

We are offering a new class at The Stamp Shoppe.  Using Peel Off Stickers and Microfine glitters we will be creating these pop up cards.  Learn three techniques with these stickers and glitters along with tips and tricks to make it as easy as 1..2..3!  You will make both of these cards during the class.  Just bring your favorite adhesive and dimensional tape and we provide everything to make them.

Another Dreamweaver Treat

The Dreamweaver challenge theme for this month is tiny treats, gift boxes, for different occasions.  Today I am using the Heartfelt Creations Gift Box die to make this box.  I cut out the four sides from decorator paper, then adhered them together.  Then  used the 1 1/2" Scor-Tape around the box.  Then I added a strip of May Arts crocheted ribbon onto the sticky strip of tape.  Finally I added some of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Microfine Glitter to any of the exposed tape.  This adds some glitz as well.  Then for the top I used the Lotus Stencil from Dreamweaver.  I ran this lotus through my Cuttlebug machine with the embossing pad to Emboss the image.  Then I used some pigment ink from a Splendor pad and a stencil brush to add color to the flower.  I repeated this process untill I had four Lotus.  Then I cut around the entire flower of the first one.  Then I cut in a bit for the second layer, then cut in a bit more for the third layer and finally a small flower was cut out of the last Dahlia.  I used pop dots to adhere the layers together.  The leaf was made with the Maple Branch stencil.  This can work as a Bridal Shower gift, Mother's day gift or any Appreciation event!  Check out more Tiny Treat ideas from the Design Team!

Glittered Background

Here is another sample using the technique of glittering the background. On this card, I first used ScorTape that I adhered to white cardstock.  Then I used the Heartfelt Creations new corner dies and cut out two white doily corners.  After I removed the liner, I adhered the corners to the adhesive, then added Liberty Blue Elizabeth Craft Microfine glitter over the exposed sticky surface.  Then after removing the excess glitter, rub the glittered surface firmly. I then used the Heartfelt Creations Weathered Fence Post Stamp set for my image and cut it out with the Classic Oval Spellbinder die. Spring Crosses

Welcome to the Prickley Pear CHA Clearly Stamp Sets blog hop.  You should have arrive from the Prickley Pear Blog.  Today, I am using the CLR032 Spring Crosses Clear Set with the matching die. This is a versatile set with sentiments for First Communion, Confirmation, and Baptism.  These crosses are perfect for Easter cards too.  The background was made using the ScorTape sheets with Elizabeth Craft Designs Microfine glitter.  The cathedral window is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Be sure to leave a comment on each of the blog's along the way to have a greater chance to win the two beautiful clear sets and the matching dies that are pictured below.

Heartfelt with Glitz

Sorry it has taken so long for me to blog...again! I have been busy drawing more images as well as trying to keep up with my kids and their busy schedules. Here is a card that I made with the Bella Rosa Collection from Heartfelt Creations. I used the background stamp and colored it with Copic Markers. Then cut a piece of ScorTape the same size as the background. Remove the liner and then sprinkle over the tape with Warm Highlight Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft. Stamp, Color and Cut out the images that you want to "pop". Place them over the background. Stamp the sentiment on cream cardstock and then cut out with Nestabilities. I will be having a Cards with Glitz class in July. This is one of the cards we will be making! Call and sign up today!

Heartfelt Winter Wishes

These Elegant Snowflake Medallions from Heartfelt Creations fit their Ornament die cuts. Just stamp and cut out six flakes with the matching nestabilities die, assemble and add a little embellishments and you have a beautiful snowflake. For the first card, I used the sentiment from Prickley Pear and cut out two ovals with the nestabilities. Then attached the smaller snowflake for an added accent on the card. Adding some silver ribbon, I tied it all together. For the background on the second card, I used some score tape with Microfine highlight glitter to add some extra sparkle. I layered the snowflakes on Bo Bunny's new winter papers. Both cards have some embossing to add some texture. These are quick and beautiful cards.

Microfine Glitter - WOW!

I am having fun with the new Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft. Using the Be Creative tape on the background. Once the liner tape is removed, you can use the liner to cut or punch shapes to mask images. On the sample below, I punched out snowflakes and put the masks back on the tape. Because the liner is the mask, they can easily be removed. Then you sprinkle on the Liberty Blue Microfine glitter onto the exposed tape. Rub glitter firmly into the tape and shake off the excess. Now remove the snowflake masks...It works best with a fine pointed tweezers. Then sprinkle with the Cool transparent glitter and again rub glitter firmly and shake off the excess. This technique is called brushed velvet. It is smooth and the glitter won't rub off onto you hands later!!! On the butterfly card, I used a square of the Be Creative tape on white cardstock. Then after I removed the liner sheet, I place a Class A'peel butterfly sticker onto the tape. Use the removed liner to press the sticker onto the tape. Then I used the transparent glitter on the tape and rubbed the glitter firmly into the exposed tape. Now the whole square is covered with glitter. Then you can use your Tombow markers directly onto the glittered surface and spread the color with a water brush. I love this look!

This is just one more sample that I did using the NEW spider web border punch as a mask. Then using the Java and the Grasshopper Microfine glitters to fill in the tape sheet. There will be a class offered at The Stamp Shoppe on September 7th for anyone that would be interested in seeing more with these techniques.
