Sketch Saturday #85 & Mojo Monday #122
I am putting two challenges in one post today! First off, I did the Saturday Sketcher challenge above. I used my Snuggles Duck for the image and colored her with Copic markers. I embossed the pink vellum with with Candy Cane Cuttlebug folder and used it for the back layer. I used a part of the Labels nine Nestabilites for the sentiment instead of a half circle for something different. Adding some extra embellishments to finish the card!
For the Mojo Monday challenge, I used Fluffy the sheep as my main image. I didn't have the scallop oval to cut a mat, but I did have this Label Six Nesties handy and it worked perfect for the mat. I used the flourish cuttlebug folder for the lime green strip. I ran it through twice to get embossing where I wanted it to appear. Since my sentiment didn't show up on the dp, I stamped the words on a white piece and attached it to the front of the card.

Viking treasure!
I am doing two challenges in one today! I am using the Sketch, with a twist, from Friday Sketchers and using the Pink and Gray theme from the Cute Card Thursday challenge. This Viking was a request from my 10 year old son, Nolan, so I have been wanting to use this Viking stamp and the new fleur de lis cuttlebug folder. So that is just what I used for these challenges. The pink and gray background dp is from Karen Foster. Because I don't have a lot of gray/pink paper, I used a ribbon for one of the strips on the sketch. My saying didn't fit in the circle punch out, so I used one of the Nestabilities labels instead. Using a brad, I attached the heart charm to the sentiment!

Feelin' Blue
Here's my first attempt of an easel card. I patterned the front from the Splitcoaststampers, Wednesday's Sketch challenge. With the bottom part of the sketch on the inside with the Get Well Sentiment. I went with the blue color to go with the "feeling blue" theme. The bear, ice pack and thermometer are new stamps from Stamp Shoppe Creations. You can accessorize the bear or just leave him plain. Notice... I added some of the R20 Copic to his cheeks to give him a flushed look. I then added some embellishments to complete the card.

Mojo Monday challenge #121
Another monday, another challenge!! I used this new "Flying Jay" stamp and the flying by sentiment from Stamp Shoppe Creations to do this mojo monday challenge. Then I colored him with Copics, trying to match some of the colors with this Cosmo Cricket DP. Then I embossed the birthday saying on the Core'dinations Chocolate paper and sanded it for the turquoise color to show through. I used the Large Petite Oval Nestabilites to cut out the sentiment and popped it up on the card. Don't forget the ScorBug to add the faux stitches around the edge of the card. It makes the card edges not so bare!! Hope you have a great week!!

Sketch Saturday #85
Here is my Sketch Saturday challenge! I am using one of Stamp Shoppe Creations new Valentine's stamps for this card. I flipped the sketch and I liked the uniques layout! The strips of pink were scalloped with a Fiskars boarder punch and the strips of red paper were embossed with one of the Sizzix Embossing folders with scrolls and Hearts. It fit in well with the valentine theme. Those of you that have been looking for our new stamps, they should be in the store by Tuesday or Wednesday this week. They are being put out on the store blog on a daily basis, so be sure to keep checking that as well!

Holy Cow! It's a birthday Challenge!
Here is a new challenge if anyone is interested...Stampin' Royalty. The theme of this challenge is anything birthday. Here is also another sneak peak of new stamps from us at Stamp Shoppe Creations. I stamped the cow, them made a mask of the cow. After I had the mask cut out and the cow covered, I stamped the wings to make her "holy" :) Then I stamped the party hat and cut it out. After everything was colored, I popped the hat on Bessie's head. This is an old Mojo Monday sketch. I went into the archives and found a sketch that would work with the oval. This also works for the belated birthdays you are celebrating! For those that know me best, those are the only birthdays that I celebrate...I'm never on time.

Sneak Peak with MMSC#35
We have some new Valentine, Easter, Baby and More Stamp Shoppe Creations Stamps. I will be having sneak peaks for the next week, so be sure to see what's new!! I used the sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge for this baby card. This also fits for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. We were to use some thing new. Since this is Hot off the Press, I figured it would work!! I decided to do a baby card, because I had these darling pacifiers from Dress it Up that I wanted to use as my embellishment. Then the rest fell into place. I used the Special Delivery stamp from Stamp Shoppe Creations and colored it with copics. To create the illusion of be popping off the page, I colored with the G000 Copic around the whole image. I chose some Cosmo Cricket paper for the dp.

Sketch Saturday #84
Christmas is over, but winter will be here for awhile, so...Here is a little winter cheer. I used the Sketch Saturday Challenge for this card. I have had this American Craft ribbon in my stash for over a year and I decided I really wanted to use it. So this card was designed around the ribbon. I use a snowflake cuttlebug folder on the background. Since the card is square, I embossed one side, then moved the folder and embossed the otherside. I like the look because some snowflakes are more embossed than others. It gives it the illusion of some closer than others. I stamped Sidney's Fort and colored his hat to match the color theme. I didn't want all circles for the sentiment, snowflakes, so I used a small label nestie to give some different shapes. The corners seemed too plain, so I added extra embellishments. Happy Freezin' Season to all!!

Mojo Monday challenge #120
It's monday and the kids are back in school. I now have my stamping room back and I can get back in the stamping groove again. Here is my Mojo monday challenge. The first for the new year! I used buddy for the image and colored him with Copics. I am starting to like these E43 and E44 color browns. They have a slight gray color to them. All papers are from the Cosmo Cricket, Lil' Man collection. Then all I had to do is follow the sketch and my card is complete!

Ellie says Thanks!
This is another catch up week f0r me and I am still running
behind:( Here is the card I made from the Cute Card Thursday. I also needed to make a thank you card, so this card did double duty!! I used papers from Scrap Within Reach and papers to coordinate. I then Stamped Ellie and colored her with Copics. I add a few brads in the upper right corner, because it seemed a little bare. Hope you all have a great 2010!
