Birthday Berries
This week I am going back to the Classic Editions Ornamental Raspberries Set. I used a Cuttlebug folder to add texture to the background. Then I stamped just the Happy Birthday sentiment onto the card. I added a band of raspberry color with an accent from the Martha Stewart border punch. Of course I colored the image with Copic Markers. Then added some cream pearls and black lines...just a clean and simple card today! Check out the Heartfelt Creations blog for more inspiration and to see the new design team for the next six months! Have a wonderful day!!

Christmas Cardinal
Here is the new Cardinal Clear Set from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. There are several cardinals that in this set that match the Cardinal Die. I chose this one with the pine cones and colored it with Copic Markers. The background paper is using Bo Bunny Decorator paper and the cardinal is popped up over the Oval Scallop PPRS Die. Just add a bow made with brown seam binding, some stitches and some Viva Decor Pearls and the card is complete! See the Prickley Pear Blog today and see more wonderful samples to get you inspired!!

Thank You "fall" All!
It's been rainy and cool outside and it is feeling like fall. So...here is a little fall card. I used the Prickley Pear Fall Scalloped Oval CLR027A Clear Set and the Oak & Maple Leaf CLR018A Clear Set to make this sample. The leaves were cut out with the matching leaf die, then stamped with black ink. I used Tim Holtz fall limited edition Distress Inks. This year you can purchase the ink pads individually. The leaves were sponged with the Gathered Twigs and the Persimmon inks. The frame was stamped onto white cardstock and cut out around the oval line. Then I used the Oval Scallop die to cut out the brown piece behind the sentiment. The background paper is from the Heartfelt Creations paper pack and faux stitched with the ScorBuddy and ScorBug. The green layer was embossed with the Tim Holtz swirl folder and sponged with the Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I tied a knot in the seam binding and glued the ends down with glue dots. So thankful that you stopped by, but don't forget to check out what the other design team gals from Prickely Pear have created for you!!

Nolan turns 13
I used Benny the Ape, a Stamp Shoppe Creations stamp, to make this card for my son's 13th birthday. This gorilla was colored with Copic Markers. The banner was made with the Memory Box pennant stamp. Stamp as many pennants together as you want to make a banner. I used five together so I could spell out Nolan's name to personalize the card. Then I used some divine twine to "string up" the banner. The birthday hat was colored with Copic Markers, then cut out to put on the monkey's head. Of course I added some embossing and some stitching to complete the card!!

Yuletide Greetings
This beautiful winter stamp, JJ0030 Reindeer Pair from Prickley Pear is featured on their blog today. Be sure to see some samples of this stamp used on different cards. I stamped this on white cardstock and colored the reindeer with Copic Markers. Then I used the snowflake paper from Bo Bunny for part of the background. I wanted to keep the feel of the cold, swirling snow on the card, so I added the Fanciful Flourishes die from Cheery Lynn. The only problem is that it had the leaves, so with a snip of my scissors, off came the leaves and popped up some snowflakes onto the bare swirl. The snowflakes were punched out with a Martha Stewart punch. Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Floret Background
I love these new Vintage Floret stamps. They add a shabby chic flavor to your cards. Use them along with the new Paper Collection and you have beautiful masterpieces. The first card, I cut out and placed the 3-D flowers over the stamped image, but on the second card I used them along with the leafy vine from the Vintage Floret Bouquet Stamp Set. You can add leaves from other collections to allow the flowers to stand alone. I have colored these flowers pink, peach, blue and each one has their own gorgeous look. The paper pack has various shades of color so the flowers can be colored to match. There are also sentiments that can be cut from the designer papers and added to your cards. Be sure to see the beautiful creations that the Design Team has done for you this week.

Partridge in a Pear Tree
I love this Vintage Partridge Tree stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The image was colored with distress markers and then stamped onto white cardstock. Then I ripped around the edges and sponged with gathered twigs distress ink. Then background was sponged with the gathered twigs and stormy ski distress inks over white cardstock. Then I stamp the Partridge in a Pear Tree saying all over the background with brown dye ink. Then I embossed with the music note cuttlebug folder. Sand the embossing to whiten. Then I mounted the background onto aqua cardstock and adhered the Partridge tree onto the background. I stamp the partridge again with embossing ink and embossed with brown embossing powder. Then I cut out the partridge and popped him up in the tree. The brown strip was cut to 2" x 4" and the ends were angle cut to create the ribbon end. Adhere this to the card. Because of the embossed background, I use ScorTape to adhere this piece. It seems to work the best to keep it tacked down. Finally I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and cut out with an oval die. Leave the die over the paper and sponge again with both of the distress ink. Remove the die and pop up onto the brown strip. Add the green pearls and allow to dry. I like the Viva Decor Pearl Pens, but any will work. Be sure to check out the Prickley Pear blog to see what the Designers worked up for your inspiration this week!

Sincere Sympathy
Here is a sample of my new stamps for Stamp Shoppe Creations. This Lighthouse was colored with the Distress Markers directly onto the rubber then stamped onto white cardstock. I cut out the image with the oval spellbinder die, but left the die over the paper while I sponged the clouds. I used the stormy sky distress ink to sponge the clouds and around the oval. Then I removed the die and drew black lines around the oval. I stamped the sympathy sentiment onto white cardstock and matted it with the red cardstock. The background was embossed with a cuttlebug frame and then I lightly rubbed white dye ink over the raised edges. This creates a look of sanding. This works great when your cardstock doesn't have a white core and you can't sand the paper. I added two little nautical flags for accents. Thanks for stopping by!!

Vintage Floret Collection
The Vintage Floret release is a beautiful collection of ancient luxury. This month's paper release is similar to the wallpaper of a quaint Parisian cafe. The textured flower stamps add a quaint delicacy to every project. The typography is a delightful combination of botanical growth and grandmother's old typewriter stored away in the attic.
There are 5 new PreCut stamp set, one 12 x 12 paper collection and one beautiful new exclusive Spellbinders die designed for Heartfelt Creations. Leave a comment on the HC blog by Oct. 16th and you will be eligible to win the entire release valued at $134.93.
These flowers are very beautiful and lend themselves to a shabby chic feel to the cards. There are several sizes of flowers, so you can make flowers in a variety of sizes. Add leaves from either the Delicate Asters collection or the Botanical Gardens collection to create a different look to the flowers. These gorgeous flowers look great when adding some of the Heartfelt Creations Exclusive swirls and elegant design dies to the layout. Of course you always need to finish off your card with some Viva Decor Pearl Pens. They are great for flower centers and any accent you want to add to the card. Be sure to check out the HC blog for more inspiration. Then don't forget to vote for you favorite semi-finalists and current design team members!!

Prickley Pear Design Team
I am now also on the Prickley Pear Design Team, so be sure to look us up every Monday for new ideas and inspiration!! Here is the GG0053 Love Birds stamp. I embossed the image with clear embossing powder over a brown stamped image. Then I colored the birds with Copic Markers. Cut out the image with a square die, leaving the die over the paper, sponge with Victorian Velvet Distress ink. Remove the die and mat onto the chocolate box paper from core'dinations. It has pink on the back side, so when you distress around the edges, you will see some of the pink paper. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug folder on the same core'dinations paper. When sanding the embossed area, the pink shows through. Then add the ribbon and charm to complete the card. Thanks for looking!

I love the Delicate Asters Collection. These flowers are so dainty and elegant. You can add layers of the same size flowers and the flowers look more like Gerber Daisies, but if you add layers of different sizes...A different flower! This collection comes with open flowers and solid flowers. I love them both. The open flowers, I color with Copic markers. They are easy to color. Just a few strokes and the flowers are ready to be cut. I like to color the solid flowers with the Distress Markers. Add all the shading colors directly onto the stamp, stamp onto paper and it's ready to cut out!! The matching decorative paper is absolutely gorgeous too. Love the purples! Be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations blog for more inspiration. Also get a sneak peek on the new designs that will be available next week!
