Make and Take Saturday

We made a card similar to this one this past Saturday at The Stamp Shoppe in Schofield, WI.  This uses the new Prickley Pear Blobby flower Clear Set and the Blobby Flowers Die along with the Mini Butterflies and the matching Mini Butterflies Die.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and used the Candi to finish the flowers.  I added extra elements to the card with the Holly Flourish Dies from Cherry Lynn and the Scalloped Circle Die from Prickley Pear.  Use the Spring Scalloped Circle stamp set to stamp the circle flourish in the Circle Die Cut.  If you don't want to miss the next Make and Take Saturday at The Stamp Shoppe, be sure to check out our calender on our website!  February Make and Take Saturday will be on February 23.  Hope to see you there!

Glittered Background

Here is another sample using the technique of glittering the background. On this card, I first used ScorTape that I adhered to white cardstock.  Then I used the Heartfelt Creations new corner dies and cut out two white doily corners.  After I removed the liner, I adhered the corners to the adhesive, then added Liberty Blue Elizabeth Craft Microfine glitter over the exposed sticky surface.  Then after removing the excess glitter, rub the glittered surface firmly. I then used the Heartfelt Creations Weathered Fence Post Stamp set for my image and cut it out with the Classic Oval Spellbinder die. Be sure to check out more inspiration on the HC blog.  There is much to inspire!!  Have a great week.

Another Lantern Card

Here is another card with the lantern stamp from Heartfelt Creations.  In the corner, I used the lacy corner die as an added embellishment to the card.  These lace corners can be used in a variety of ways to create different looks to the card.  In the set there is a larger and a smaller size, so depending on what you want to do, there is a perfect size.   I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out with the oval die.  Then I wanted more flowers on the card, so I grab the posies.  These flowers are perfect on any card!  Check out the HC blog for more ideas to get you inspired to create your own cards and projects.

Sentiment cards

Both of my cards today uses the Heartfelt Creations Sentiments from the new Countryside Evening Collection.  The first card uses the sentiment in the Antique Lantern PreCut Set, with the added accents of the Petite Floral Swirls PreCut Set.  The background paper is from the Countryside Evening Paper Collection and the Doily die in the corner is from this collections as well!
This card uses the largest of the Petite Floral Swirls as the frame for the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Floral Fence PreCut Set and then cut out with the Labels Eleven Spellbinder Die.  All the decorative background papers is from the Countryside Evening Paper Collection.
Be sure to check out the HC blog for more inspiration from this beautiful Collection!

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp Blog Hop
You have just come from Kina's blog...so this should be your last stop.
If you started here, be sure to go to the PPRS blog and make your way through the beautiful projects that the Design Team has made up for you!

Today I am using the Couple on a Bench.  This is a versatile stamp that can be used for Valentines Day, Anniversaries or just a "Sitting Here Thinking about You" card.  The first card, I stamped the couple and cut them out to pop up onto the card.  I cut out the heart with a Cheery Lynn Designs die.  Then for the inside of the heart, I cut out another heart and cut out the heart from this piece.  That way I would have a pattern for the heart that would fit perfectly into the lacy heart.   The lacy border is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Add some faux stitching around the patterned paper with the ScorBuddy and the ScorBug.  Now you have an Old-fashioned, romantic card!

For this next card.  I stamped the couple onto cream cardstock, then cut them out with the Cheery Lynn Rectangle Stackers Dies.  Then I cut out the blue frame with the next two sizes of the Rectangle dies  This time I used the smaller heart die.  This die set comes with two sizes of hearts in one package.  That way, they are not too big and not too small, but just right!  Then I added some corners and a sentiment to complete the card
I hope you enjoyed seeing what is new and exciting at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog for a greater chance to win the Clear Sets and Dies that are pictured below.   Later this week you will see some more of the new Clear Sets, so come back again!

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Blog Hop - Day 1

We are having a blog hop for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.
You will start from the PPRS blog
There are some beautiful new rubber stamps being released at CHA this Winter, so you don't want to miss out on the seeing what's new.  Here is a card made with the Birdhouse in a Tree.  I used the Couture Creations Bradshaw Embossing folder as the background.  Then I used the mini leafy swirl die from Cheery Lynn Designs with some small paper flowers to add to the Spring feel.
In this second sample I cut out the image in a circle to have the birdhouse and the birds more of a focal point to this card.  I cut out the lacy border with another Cheery Lynn Designs Die and a sentiment at the bottom of the card.  Both the cards were colored with Copic Markers.  I like the way this stamp can either be light and springy, or more Victorian and shabby chic...Adding a different dimension with the same stamp!

Prickley Pear is giving away two of the new clear stamp sets with the matching dies, that are shown below,  to one lucky winner.  All you have to do is leave a comment and your name will be put into a drawing.  Leave a comment on each of the Design Team Blogs for more of a chance to win.  There will a winner each day, so be sure to come back tomorrow for more sneak peaks and a chance to win!

Snowflakes are Fragile

Christmas is past and the New Year has arrived.  There is still a chill in the air and there are sure to be some more flakes coming our way.  Here is the Large Snowflake from Prickly Pear Rubber Stamps.  I embossed it with white embossing paper on light blue cardstock.  Then I mounted it on the blue snowflake paper from Graphic 45.  The snowflake sentiment was bigger than I wanted to use on the front of the card, so I stamped just the top portion on this white tab.  Then I stamped the bottom portion on another piece of white paper and added it to the inside of the card.

If you want more inspiration with the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, we are now out on Pinterest!  There are lots of beautiful samples out there and more added weekly.  Also check out the PPRS blog to see what the Design Team has created for you each Monday.

Embossing Diffuser Technique

Happy New Years!!  Hope you all had a wonderful & safe holiday and are looking forward to a prosperous 2013.  Here is a sample of a card I made using the Hearfelt Creations roses from the Garden Romance Collection.  I only wanted the roses, so I cut them off from the bird house that they were attached to.  This is one way to get different looks from the same stamp.  The background was done using the Tim Holtz Oval diffuser and embossing folders.  The cardstock is the Distress Core'dinations paper and sanded after it was embossed.  The oval frame was made with the Decorative Oval Spellbinder die and the Petite oval die.  This is similar to the card we will be making in the new Diffuser Technique class that we will be offering at The Stamp Shoppe in January.  If you are interested in more techniques with the Diffusers, sign up for a class today...then check out more inspiration from the HC Design Team!
