Letterpress Technique

Today I am using the Letterpress technique for the background of this card.  I used the new tile background.  I love this stencil because has so many fun uses.  First of all I sprayed the stencil with Merlot Memories Mists spray.  Then I placed a thin paper towel on my A plate of my Cuttlebug.  I laid the sprayed stencil onto the towel, then white card stock over the stencil.  Place a embossing rubber mat over the paper, then lay the two B plates over the top.  Once you run this through the Cuttlebug, you can remove the paper and you will have an embossed background with the ink in the grooves.  Next I placed another piece of white card stock into a box and laid the clean stencil over the paper.  Then I sprayed the mist over the paper, keeping the spray about 12 inches away from the paper and sprayed 3 - 4 times.  Remove the stencil and you now have a negative image.  I lined up the images, then I trimmed down the pieces to size.  I used the black matte paste to emboss the Thank You sentiment.  Once the paste was dry, I used the Plum Royale F/X powder to add the metallic color.
