Pinterest Inspired Creation

The June challenge for Dreamweaver Stencils is to use something on Pinterest to inspire you.  This can be inspiration from a card, room color, picture, quote, etc.  The only requirement is that it was something from Pinterest!  Today, I used a card idea that I found a couple of weeks ago.  To see the card I saw, Click Here.  I thought that the frame she made was so neat!  I had some of the the 2 in 1 border punches from EK Success, so I thought that would be perfect for this card.  I started out by cutting the purple cardstock 5 1/4" square.  Then I set the punch at the #1 setting (which cuts out the entire heart chain shape).  I punched the middle of two ends of the paper.  Then I flipped the paper over and lined up the edge of the punch to the edge of the card.  Then I moved the punch about 1/8" in so the cut wasn't to the end of the paper.  Once the first one is cut, line up the edge of the punch with the last punch.  Again I lined it up on the back side of the punch so I could see clearly where the punch would be made.  Then repeat on the opposite side.  Now I have a border with a solid purple square in the center of the frame.  I then used the small violet stencil for my image.  I first measured the purple center, then cut my white piece 1/4" smaller.  So if the center was 2 3/4", then cut the white paper 2 1/2" square.  I used Black glossy paste over then stencil.  Once the paste was dry, I placed the clean stencil back over the image.  I used the Pallete Stamp and Stick Glue Pad and daubed ink over the paste.  Then I used the 1/4" Stencil brush and brushed on some F/X powder over the violets.  Then I popped up the violets in the center of the frame, matted the frame and layered it onto a card. Hope this inspired you today! Be sure to see what the Dream Team has done for you this week too.

Beautiful Heidi! I love how the punched frame turns out, it's the perfect setting for that little violet. I love the card that inspired you too, great saying on it, I'll have to go pin it!

I'm hoping that you'll actually get this comment. Beautiful inspiration piece, but I love yours even more, down to the tiny liquid (?) pearls.
