World's Best!

Check out this adorable fellow from Whipper Snapper! He just screams summer to me! He's a hoot to color with Copics! I used Spicas on his spatula for a metallic glint! The cardstock is pre-cut by The Paper Cut...and any alphabet stickers will do ya!
This is a fun window card that opens to reveal a recipe, and then opens again for your message.
Hope he makes you grin too! :)

Happy Anniversary
I needed an anniversary card for my in-laws, so I started out with the Stampavie "First Kiss" stamp and added it to this weeks MoJo Monday sketch challenge and this is what I came up with. I liked the results with the longer card. This is not my normal size to work on, but it was a nice change. The finished card is 4" x 8 1/2" and will fit in the business envelopes. The papers were selected because of a splitcoast stampers challenge that I never got around to doing. We were to take two patterns of paper and put them together on one card. I distressed the the cuttlebug paper and used the Peeled Paint Distress Ink on the sentiment to give the aged look. So here's to 40+ years of marriage!!

High Hopes in Orange!
Isn't this little lady from High Hopes the *sweetest?!* I just had a hoot coloring her with Copic Markers. This is also my first attempt with my Copic Airbrush! I am *SO* in love....and I'm sure I will love it even more as I learn more about it. I love the look you get with the Nestabilities dies...that white edge is so crisp and fun. The paper is from Cloud9 Design, flowers by Prima, die by Sizzix.TIP: When using the Copic Airbrush you can layer colors, in this case I had brown dirt, green grass, blue sky and yellow sun.
Oh, and I apologize if anyone hates the orange dress as much as Heidi does.....it's not a color I normally grab....I usually would grab blue....but it seemed so fun at the time! Leave me a comment and tell me it's not *that bad*.....please!! LOL! ~michelle~

So Thoughtful!
This cute little fellow is by High Hopes. He's gussied up with Copics and White Gel Pen which Heidi does so well! Nestabilites provide the perfect backdrop, accented with the black doodling. Designer paper is such a fun way to add *pop* to a card. These stripes are by Cloud9 Design and they have such a variety of color combinations that they are perfect for any project! Ric Rac is a fun alternative to ribbon...check out all of the colors available at The Stamp Shoppe!Tip: Foam Pop Tape can add the perfect bit of dimension to your images, *popping* them off of the papers.

Whipper Snapper Mouse!
This adorable image is by Whipper Snapper Designs. These designs are lots of fun to color with the Copic Markers, they have nice open areas to practice your shading techniques! Remember to use your Cuttlebug Embossing folders....simply embossing a strip of coordinating cardstock adds so much to a card. Heidi added Prima flowers and coordinating gems that mirror the flowers in the designer paper. Check out the tiny scalloped circle frame around the sentiment!~michelle~

Best Fishes!
This card is a variation of one shown on the blog a bit ago...but with Dad's Day coming up quickly, I thought I'd show this one as well! Hambo stamp, colored with Copics and highlighted with Inkssential White Gel pen. Nestabilites frame the image perfectly. Faux stitching and mini-brads finish the card for a clean, masculine look! The sentiment is perfect for either a summer birthday or for Father's day for your favorite fisherman! ~michelle~

A Friend Like You!
Isn't she the cutest?! Lots of fun sayings you stick with this little lady! Copics color her nicely and Nestabilities frame her perfectly. Sponging softens up the sentiment panel, and faux stitching is the perfect touch. I love the graduated sizes of the buttons. All the attention to details, just perfectly cute!! ~michelle~

I wouldn't have a leg to stand on!

I told you I like these stamps from Hambo! They always have the perfect sayings to go with the main images. The "leg to stand on" saying is stamped on the inside. I colored the Flamingo with Copics and highlights with the gel pen. For the water, I drew some lines to look like ripples with my fine line black pen. Then I colored with B21, B23 and B00 to look more the southern waters. Once I had the image colored, the next thing is to figure out how to lay it out. I went back to the MojoMonday blog to find a sketch I thought might work. (See the above sketch) Using some creative license I used the wave die from Sizzix instead of a ribbon and the Labels 4 from Nestabilities instead of a plain rectangle. I loved the look! I felt that the outside seemed too plain, so I used my handy ScorBug and made some faux stitches. I also colored the background dots of the paper with the new pastel Spica glitter pends. Now my card is finished!! Hope to stop again soon!
